New Jersey Municipalities Relying on PPG for Guidance on Affordable Housing Issues
In response to a recent New Jersey Supreme Court decision, municipalities throughout the state are readying court filings demonstrating municipal compliance with affordable housing obligations. Approximately two dozen towns in northern and central New Jersey have retained Phillips Preiss Grygiel to provide affordable housing planning and advisory services. The firm's work includes evaluting previously adopted housing plans, updating background data, investigating potential mechanisms for providing additional affordable housing and working with municipal elected officials, staff and attorneys to prepare court filings as required by the Supreme Court ruling. PPG has extensive prior experience assisting municipalities and other clients with New Jersey Council on Affordable Housing (COAH) issues, as well as knowledge of relevant issues in the changing affordable housing landscape and best practices to help muncipalities address their obligations.
